Some people have a mental picture of what they think the New age is all about. People think the New Age suggests hippies of the 1960's using psychedelic drugs to reach unlimited stages of consciousness; another image is Mediums, Fortune Tellers and Astrology.
I just came back from Bethel, New York, the site of the original Woodstock. The people that organized the concert back in 1969, marketed it as the Aquarian Exposition.
Given the influx of communes across the country and people using drugs to reach a spiritual connection; the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius had begun!
We all of heard the song by the Fifth Dimension,
Golden living dreams of visions, Mystic crystal Revelations and the mind's true liberation, Aquarius, Aquarius.
"I was born in 1966 at the height of the Dawning of the Age. But that's just it, it was the dawning, not the age."-Serena Jade.
"I feel being a child born of the middle to late 1960' s, the Age is upon us. What does that mean? With an open mind, we can transform our dysfunctions, bring our darkness into the light and acquire a liberated mind and yes, use the knowledge of astrology as a tool to know ourselves. A long arduous journey within will have paid off for ourselves, each other and the world. Then those false heighten states of consciousness that was so easily obtained in the dawning of the Age, will be authentic in the Age because of our hard work."-Serena Jade
